Wrapped

Wrapped up so tightly you just can’t seem to let go
Of those things from your past and the things you now know
So you cling to your pillar with a rose colored view
Your world passing by while learning nothing that’s new
And there all around you shapes and colors of life
Which you choose to ignore and instead live in strife
You might attempt to let loose of all your old ways
Before opportunities fade as do your days
