Truth or Lies

When engaging in conversation, while seeking truth
And carefully listening for fantasy, fibs and/or lies
Don't believe all who speak, as some are uncouth
So, peer deeply through the portals of their eyes

For many words are shared without meaning or care
And not all is bad that's being spoken
But all too many sour words foul up the clean air
So let deep eye contact find souls perhaps broken
