Sorrowful Songs

Listening to Gorecki’s Symphony number 3
2nd Movement to be exact and so clearly I see
How one can feel such beauty from this musical art
A tragic story about a family’s lives being torn apart
By the horrors of war and how sad it can be
When you know you are trapped with no place to flee
And the worst part of humans and their evils inside
Is unleashed on others with insidious pride
