It's Complicated

One is two and two is one
While battles rage, seldom fun
It says “left” and It says “right”
Neither wins this daily fight
Thoughts so confusing, too many distractions
It says to It things that cause bad reactions
So many names for this bothersome condition
Of too little life and too much attrition
With hazards galore blocking easy release
From journeys in flux while searching for peace
Hope still remains for It times two
While some do escape too few do
Trying to explain It via something related
All one can say is, “It’s complicated”
