Far Beneath the Surface

Deep beneath the surface sheen
A thousand fathoms lie between
The side that's shared with one kept hidden
In secret depths entry forbidden

For in this place of frequent gloom
Where stormy thoughts oft meet their doom
Here shipwrecked palates never shown
Hide true colors too well known
