Dancer Seated in Chair

Spent from her dance where she leaves all her heart
While exhausted she sits after experiencing the part
Of reaching for something in a search to feel whole
From the stories she dances which oft take a toll

Perhaps she’s directed by a Svengali so strong
Who guides her through a zone where nothing is wrong
With putting everything she has leaving nothing to chance
So she can savor the pleasures of being in that trance
