Cosmic

I was sitting here thinking about some stories to tell
Ideas for a painting so I thought, “What the hell?”
It had to be vast, extraterrestrial, perhaps more
But I knew I’d be in trouble if I opened that door
But open it I did and as my mind ran away
It got caught up in a circular mind stealing way
Abstract, spiritual, metaphysical ideas tossed around
Until finally I caught one an idea mildly profound
A muse for the senses so to the canvas is where I went
Armed with questions without answers another cosmic event
